The immiscibility of oil and water creates a multitude of bubbles of all sizes. A lack of miscibility occurs when the forces between like molecules are very strong for two liquids—essentially the oil molecules and the water molecules are so much more strongly attracted to themselves than they are to one another that they cannot mix. Surface tension—another expression of molecular forces—pulls the oil into droplets that float in the water and refract the light in such lovely ways. I'm sad. Can you cheer me up?

Do you like cats? Then here dis

Otherwise let me just remind you that while our existences have no inherent God-given meaning (at least no hard evidence seems to suggest so), you are still precious by the very fact that you exist. Think of yourself not as simply an agent residing in the universe, but as a component of the universe, and actively involved in the ongoing development of it. A part of a larger process bigger and more beautiful than you alone. But you are an active and intimate part of all of this, just as much as your cells are an intimate part of you. This should be both humbling, and empowering. We, by the virtue of being able to experience, grant the universe the ability to experience. We give the universe access to the full array of emotions, just as our eyes grant us sight. Because of us, the universe can be happy, sad, angry, and everything else. It is your duty and mine to call forth all of the riches there are in this world. Find love, enjoy nature, eat junk food with friends, cry on someone’s shoulder, learn something scientific, take up a cause, WATCH CAT VIDEOS. Everything you do contributes to the human experience, the universal experience. You are profoundly meaningful, even if there is no abstract daddy figure in the sky to state it officially so. In your short time here, you will do more for the universe than anyone else can ever understand.

Live on, my friend, and thrive.
